I spent two months in San Chris back 1987. I rented a room in a house with three other gringos. Originally I was going to spend about 6 months and try and do a lot of writing, but just wasn't feeling it after a while and I decided it would be better to go back to travelling for a few more months, go down to Guatamala, bop over to Oaxacca. Glad I did that I felt more like writing while travelling around too. But, if were to live in Mexico, this town would be at the top my list and having seen you guys's video that it also is about the cheapest spot, I think I would definitely give San Cris a whirl again if for some reason I had to leave Thailand where I have lived mostly for the last 25 years. From your video doesn't seems like San Chris has changed one bit either.

Well if you are in the mountains it’s cold no matter which country you are in. If you go to the coastal area in Chiapas it’s hot all year round
