Since you asked for favourite food different kind of favourite food. I’ll pitch in.
For most places you should be able to get:
– ผัดคะน้าหมูกรอบ
Kana moe krob (crispy pork with kale) you can ask them to put in some chilli as well. You can ask them for a little spicy. You can modify it however you want you just have to say kana (protein option).
– ผัดกระเพราหมูกรอบ
pad gra pow moe krob (it’s pad gra pow with crispy pork)
– ผัดพริกหมูกรอบ
pad prik moe krob (chilli paste stir fried with crispy pork)
– หมูกระเทียม
Moe grathem (garlic pork) or
กุ้งกระเทียม
Kron grathem (garlic shrimp)
These are typically serve with chilli sauce the same one you had with your omelette. It’s good.
– ไข่เจียวแหนม
Ki gew Nam
(omelette with sour pork)
Just something different for you to try haha. You might like it.
To be honest, Thai people don’t really eat pad Thai cause it’s plain. As a kid I would have, Mama pad (มาม่าผัด) typically comes with two options pork or Tom yum shrimp or Pad Kei mao (ผัดขี้เมา). If you guys like noodles I definitely recommend both. Just something Thai people would order.
I think most places that sells pad Thai typically sells mussels pancake หอยทอด. If you have a chance definitely check it out. To me that’s way better than pad Thai. Pad Thai is too redundant. When I eat pad Thai as a kid it’s never by choice.

Stir fried noodles with suki sauce, you can make this into seafood too for pescatarian.
For dessert: I would recommend

Sweet Egg floss
สาคูไส้หมู
Sa cool si moe (tapioca balls with fillings)

Lod zhong (Cendol)
โรตีไข่ใส่กล้วย
Roti with egg and banana
For fun:
I would also try deep fried bugs if they are available.
Food worms is nice. They spray it with soy sauce and black pepper. It’s really good. It taste like chips. High in cholesterol though but it’s really good.

my fav dish in Bangkok probably is Khao mun gai at Montien Hotel Bangkok and I like Thai cookies "Klip Lamduan".
