authourity should do something about this now and not wait till some crazy driver weck their car into the jammed pack pedestrian on the middle of the 2 road!!!!
Why till today, the government have not ettle this issue by building a overhead bridge with up and down escalator! this will also ease the traffic flow not having a traffic lights junction!!!!!

uncle yap. pls send this video to LTA, they cna review n do somthing before someone gets killed….
this ccrossing is of the "split type" "i.e the green man do nto appear at same time on bith sides of road. normally in use for roads a-which are wide wiht many lanes, thats reason why pedestrian get stucked in the middle hold-up area. cna get dangerous if too much spill over of people crossing.
LTA can revamp crossign to have ONCE through type so green man wil be same time for both sides so no hold up zone is needed, but it also mean green time need to be longer n thus some road jam may be
how about Tokyo?
@uncle0yap I bet that those are just temporary.
@ElevationLowJJ You can try to cross from Bugis via Illuma and find that you are forced to enter the building which is entirely under heavy reconstruction project. It is an unsafe and unpleasent worksite. Heavy Machines and weldings are going on. Escalators are gone. Lifts needs long waits. Hard to get down from 2nd floor.
@uncle0yap Could you elaborate why is the bridge unsafe?
@ElevationLowJJ Impossible! Don't blindly imagine that! Illuma is totally unsafe! Entire interior is under a long re-construction. Very hard to get through! I won't use it unless it rains big time outside.
Most of the people make use of the iluma bridge as the alternative.
Sir, there`s another death trap nearby as well – The other side of Bugis Junction towards the Steamboat Alley. No doubt there`s lesser traffic over there, but the lack of traffic lights makes it a death trap too. Would you agree?
It's a stupid design..
