   Have stayed at the Landmark for many years as our favourite hotel in Bangkok. How ever our last trip was extremely disappointing. At the start the reception staff seem to have no idea about welcoming loyal customers back and don't seem to know you have ever previously stayed at the hotel. Tried to switch us to another room that we did not want despite having booked six moths earlier and re confirmed two weeks prior to arrival. Despite having paid for breakfast in advance we were told we had not and had to sort that out as well. My wife used to love the Landmark breakfast but now the quality of the food has dropped off and the portion size is much smaller than usual. The new Rendezvous bar no longer has live entertainment and now serves swill instead of the previous fantastic coffee it used to have. Mid week the new bathroom toilet leaked and we had to move rooms. Further more the award winning Michelin Star Rib Room and Bar Steakhouse is where I took my wife on our first date many years ago. Always looked forward to the thick juicy steaks served. What I got served was a very thin piece of fatty undercooked steak. The Head Chef who as been there for many years should be ashamed of himself for allowing such food to be served. To top things off a number of small items that cant fit in the safe were stolen from our room during our stay. We are both so disappointed we can longer stay at what used to be our favourite hotel in Bangkok. On a special note the Concierge staff seem to remain the same year after year and have always offered a very friendly and high level of customer service. Missing the old Landmark…………..
